This is a picture of the cardboard fuel tank for the Willys, including the mounting lip. The tank was sized to fit in between the rear frame rails behind the rear end, sitting in a hole cut out of the bed floor, with a piece of sheet steel bolted to the underside of the two narrowed frame rails to support this custom 20 gallon fuel tank. I made a metal former of the shape before starting the actual tank.
